Early followers of this blog will understand my feelings for HBO's True Blood (the phenomenal adaption of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse Novels), Alan Ball's finest creation since Six Feet Under. As the final 7th series premieres Sunday 22th June, Alan and familiar supernatural/vampire/human faces share what saying goodbye means to them in this fascinating retrospective.
"The truth is, out there people are weird, people get freaky. It's OK."
Janina Gavankar, 'Luna'
"The 'Horrors of intimacy' is I have to admit, a phrase I pulled out of my ass when HBO asked over the phone, 'In 1 sentence tell me what this show is about'."

"I'm very conscious of bringing it back to a centre. We had a lot of wild sex, we really let go of convention. But at the end of the day we want people to feel this is a love story."

"Wouldn't it be great if when someone pissed us off we could just behead them?"
"The villains in this show have never been just evil. Everyone has something primal inside of them."
"Every character in the series has had the chance to fall in love, get their heart broken, pick up the pieces and keep going."
